Canvas Rider Track!

Idea #3: 2D, Side Scrolling, Robot Shooter

Basic 2d side scrolling shooter with a cute little robot capable of MASS destruction. Probably have the death animations of enemies/methods to kill them be pretty brutal.

Possibly more to come >.>

Idea #2: Mobile OS 'Distraction' Game

This game would be relatively simple graphics/imagery wise. However, the mental/puzzle teamwork aspect of the game would add it a challenging aspect and depth. Possible to be played solo, but easier with co-op play.

The hook: Players will guide 'daydream' doodles through levels where the setting is composed of class notes on a sheet of lined paper. Enemies will be the boring topics/concepts like mathematical equations, scientific theories, and grammatical symbols. The abilities/powers of the enemies will be based on their origin (i.e. E=MC2 will be two blob copies that will continue to replicate the longer players take to defeat them. +, -, x, and division symbols adding to damage taken, subtracting from damage done, etc).

Each selectable character will have their own unique abilities that will prove useful in different scenarios and allow for multiple methods of defeating a certain level. More powerful abilities are accessed as 'trash' baddies are defeated.

The levels will be modified pages of 'notes'. Here are some ref images pulled from Google Images:

More to come!

Idea #1: Old School, Side-Scrolling 'Beat-em-up'!

First idea I toyed with was a 2D, side-scrolling 'beat-em-up' (similar to the old Double Dragon/Gauntlet/X-Men: Children of the Atom games http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymei8s35XDs ), based in a universe with characters and stories I have been developing for a long time. The concept is pretty simple, move from left to right, beating up henchmen, gaining abilities, and taking down a big boss at the end. It would be 1-4 players (co-op rules!). Here are some pic/sketches of ideas for the game:

Charlie 'Cobalt' Simmons; Your average run-of-the mill, American hero. Primarily prefers to use his fists, but is also a skilled marksman and in a pinch will throw around some lead.

Cobalt would be one of the main characters players could select.

Sketches of potential henchmen:

Thugs/Agents/Aliens (boss)

Sketch of the alien/scientifically manufactured enemy/boss. I like the idea of leaving it a blank canvas, potentially giving it the ability to mimic player/character abilities and use it against them.

The setting/environment of the game would be on the streets of a city (yet to be named), so here are some reference images gathered (sketches/concepts will be drawn based on them). (Pulled from Google Images.)
